About Us
13 Buildings · 839 Units · Since 2018

A committed team, a different vision.
BlackGrove is a family-owned real estate firm whose mission centers on improving living environments and serving its communities.
Founded in 2018, BlackGrove set itself the ambition of establishing a new standard of quality, management, and service in the residential market of Greater Montréal. Our portfolio is made up primarily of multi-residential and mixed-use buildings located in areas we know well.
We approach every acquisition with a long-term view. That philosophy guides which assets we select, how much we invest in them, and how we operate them day to day. We believe a building shapes its surroundings for the long run; that's why we commit to preserving, improving, and enhancing each of our buildings for the benefit of our tenants, our partners, and the communities we serve.
The origin of the name
The elegance of "black" and the living roots of "grove" capture our identity well. The name also descends from the Anglo-Saxon surname "Blackgrove."
Black
Black evokes restraint, sophistication, and strength. At BlackGrove, it reflects an approach to design and renovation where every detail is deliberate, precise, and built to last — seen most of all in how we treat facades, in pursuit of a result both simple and refined.
Grove
From the Anglo-Saxon, a grove is a small cluster of trees, or by extension a tree-lined street. It speaks of quiet, established, leafy residential settings — places where buildings sit naturally within the landscape. It's also a nod to the Saint-Lambert neighbourhoods where much of our portfolio sits, known for their mature, tree-lined character.
Together
The team behind every project.
Our team is our greatest strength and the engine behind everything we achieve. Their commitment, expertise, and dedication to service let us fulfill our mission: delivering a quality experience to our tenants and contributing positively to the communities we invest in.

Vertical integration
We ensure quality control through our vertically integrated model.
From acquisition to building management — including maintenance, snow removal, cleaning, leasing, and tenant service — our teams are directly involved at every step. This approach lets us maintain high standards, ensure rigorous execution, and respond quickly to the needs of our buildings and residents.
We believe quality is never improvised. By entrusting these responsibilities to our own employees, we foster accountability, consistency of service, and a better experience for our tenants.
We favour simple, hands-on management: being present, seeing the reality on the ground, and acting quickly when needed.
